CrossWorks Carpentry.."Where Every Nail Has a Purpose"

Olsen Remodeling

This project is slated to be strictly a structural remodeling venture for us. Although the work scheduled for this home is extensive, our goal is to reinforce the floors prior to removing all the 1st floor interior walls, to allow for the new floor plan which has eliminated all bearing walls. So how does one go about supporting an entire second floor and eliminate bearing walls at the same time? The following pictures will explain the outcome. We also reframed the interior of an existing unfinished addition soon to be the family room.

Now that the beams are in place to support the second floor, the home is structurally sound and ready for the electrical and plumbing contractors to start their work.
